STABILISING CREW OPERATORS 

Avard Civil is an agile, dynamic contracting business that has become one of Regional Victoria’s leading civil construction companies and has been providing infrastructure solutions to local councils, government departments, public and private companies for many years. Our dedicated field staff are amongst the best in the business, we boast qualified construction workers, highly skilled machine and plant operators and our very own traffic management division. We are currently seeking to recruit Stabilising Crew Operators.

The Role:

Responsible for the daily duties associated with working in the Stabilising crew. The successful candidates will perform duties such as plant operating using Stabilising machines, graders, roller, bobcats, excavators, truck driving and labouring work on site using hand tools. The Stabilising crew has a broad range of works, from Council contracts to civil project and small private jobs. Must be available for working either locally or away during the week, occasional weekend work may be required. A strong team player attitude is essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate must be willing to work in a positive team environment. Avard Civil is committed to the safe operating behaviour of its workforce. We require candidates who are willing to work in a multi skilled role, willing to step outside their comfort zone and challenge themselves.

Requirements:

  • Experience in Stabilising or Civil Projects.

  • Experience operating various plant including graders, skid steers, excavators, stabilising machines and rollers.

  • Heavy Rigid/Combination Licence (HR or HC).

  • Drivers Licence.

  • White Card

  • Be physically fit.

  • Have the ability to work in a team or have the ability to work independently, unsupervised.

  • Detail orientated.

  • Possess good communication skills
