DIESEL MECHANIC

 

We are seeking a full time fully qualified and highly experienced Heavy Diesel mechanic to join our team.

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, this role will be responsible for performing fault diagnosis, repair and maintenance of earth moving equipment, company vehicles and equipment.

Key duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Routine services, maintenance and repairs

  • Electrical and hydraulic fault diagnosis

  • Maintaining accurate records of work completed

  • Committed to safety in the workplace and 100% Chain of Responsibility compliance.

 

About You
In order to be successful in this role, it is essential that you possess the following:

  • Diesel mechanic qualification with a minimum of 6 years’ experience

  • Current driver's license

  • Heavy Combination, Forklift licenses (or be willing to obtain)

  • Experience working with trucks, excavation machinery and company vehicles.

 

Preferred, but not essential:

  • Plant Tickets will be highly regarded.

  • Knowledge of OHS

  • Experience in Auto Electrical diagnosis and repairs is an advantage.

  • Construction White Card

  • Air conditioning servicing

 

You must have the ability to work both autonomously and within a team whilst maintaining a positive attitude, with a strong focus on safety always. In addition, a positive and proactive attitude with the ability to prioritise your work is essential
