Avard Civil Pty Ltd is a reputable and fast-growing Civil Construction Company based in Bendigo.  We cover a broad range of projects including large roadwork and commercial projects.

The position will require someone with a wide range of knowledge in the civil construction industry. 

The role entails:

  • Assist the Site Supervisor in the organisation of labour and equipment to meet the program

  • Creating & implementing the construction program

  • Liaise with the client’s representative to resolve technical, commercial and scheduling issues

  • Procurement of materials and services in a timely matter

  • Review and approve subcontract and supplier invoices and monthly claims

  • Manage the site cost tracking and reporting

  • Establish and maintain a positive and productive client relationship to assist in project delivery and maximise the opportunity of repeat business

  • Appropriate understanding of industry related Workplace Health and Safety


To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Relevant project management skills, minimum of 3 years' experience, preferably in Civil.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships as well as effectively consult, influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive and timely outcomes for all parties.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish a variety of projects, establish project teams, project budgets and forecast timeframes.

  • Well-developed problem-solving skills and the ability to think laterally

  • Understanding of the Workplace Health and Safety legislation and training in relevant areas.

  • Knowledge of ITP's (inspection test plans)

  • Ability to interpret plans

  • Knowledge of Vic Roads specifications is preferred
