We are seeking a full time and experienced Heavy Diesel mechanic to join our team. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, this role will be responsible for performing fault diagnosis, repair and maintenance of earth moving equipment, company vehicles and equipment.


Avard Civil perform a large range of civil and structural projects, ranging from bulk earthworks, road construction, recreation facilities, bridge construction and commercial building projects. Avard Civil is a dynamic and rapidly growing civil construction company willing to challenge all aspects of the civil industry.


Skills and experience:

  • Experience in diesel mechanics and large machinery.

  • Ability to work autonomously, or in a team environment.

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Sound working knowledge of diesel mechanic principles.

  • An eye for detail and accuracy with numbers. 

  • Proven ability to work under pressure.

  • Effective time management of workflow to meet repair deadlines.

  • A minimum of 2nd or 3rd year apprenticeship.
